Case won against an insurance company in Korea

The client was standing in the parking lot of the car repair center, and the car repair center staff did not see and ended up hitting the client’s back while backing up with the back of the car. The client was injured and had a temporary disability with a 25% reduction for 2 years.

The insurance company of the auto repair center tried to reach an agreement with the client by offering the client 5 million won as a settlement excluding hospital expenses, and the client appointed Pureum Law Office and filed a civil lawsuit against the insurance company.

Pureum Law Office claimed 4 years of profit loss with 25% reductions but unfortunately, the court only admitted 2 years of profit loss by ruling that the 2 years of profit loss should start from the date of the accident not from the date of diagnosis.

The result is not very satisfactory for both the client and Pureum Law Office so but PLO did their best to represent the client and helped the client to collect partial compensation for the damage.
