Challenging the Misattributed Parent-Child Relationship Before Inheritance

March 20, 2024

This case involved a client who sought to confirm the non-existence of a parent-child relationship between their mother and a wrongly listed individual on the family registry before an inheritance occurred.

The client retained Pureum Law Office for this matter. Without any information about the defendant’s biological mother, Simon Lee communicated extensively with all of the client’s relatives to understand how the defendant came to be recorded in the client’s mother’s family registry.

Despite limited evidence, Simon Lee utilized various indirect pieces of evidence to actively persuade the judge that there was no biological relationship between the client’s mother and the defendant.

In the end, the judge made a challenging decision in favor of the client. As a result, the client is now able to inherit from their mother without any issues, following a corrected family registry that excludes the defendant.
