Although the period for filing an appeal had passed, Simon Lee submitted a supplementary appeal, which was accepted, thereby initiating the appellate procedure.
Simon strongly argued that the first-instance judgment should be annulled as it was made without the defendant’s participation. He further asserted that, on the contrary, the defendant should claim alimony from the plaintiff, presenting supporting evidence.
The court accepted these arguments, overturned the first-instance decision, and ruled that the defendant would not be required to pay any alimony.
However, as the plaintiff and the children have already left the country and their current whereabouts are unknown, efforts are ongoing to locate them through alternative means.
